Alumnus
of St. Columba’s School, New Delhi, DAV School, Hans Raj
College (Delhi University) and CCS University. The basic
interest in science, technology and medicine saw me taking
up science in school and college. Later, however, due to
my love for social service, shifted and graduated with Economics
/ Sociology and topped it up with a Master’s Degree in Sociology.
This was followed by a Post Grad Diploma in Computer Science
(Certificates from Lotus Development Corp., UK & Microsoft
Corporation, USA) and another in Business Management (Personnel
and HR).

Professional
Started
employment in 1990 at Datapro Information Technology, a
computer training company, picking up skills of management
and teaching. In a few years, became an entrepreneur and
started my own companies – Anupam Associates and Cosmic
Communications with specializing in Database Management,
Computer Publishing, Communications and Reprographics. These
enterprises help me to cover my expenses of bread and butter
! Its been nearly 21 years in the field of computers. I
do shake hands with estate investments occasionally !

Collector
Limca
Book of Records 2011 - National Record 2011 for collection
of sharp and pointed objects. I
collect different kinds of knives, bayonets, arrows, darts,
scissors, nail cutters, axes, swords, spears, bullets, paper
cutters, razors, cork openers, daggers, multi-tools and
even a wrist band with spikes. In short, anything
that has a sharp edge or has a pointed tip, catches my fancy
and I am determined to own it instantly.

Sportsman
I
am a National Level Shooter and represent Delhi State
in shooting. I am a 'Renowned Shot' (as per Govt.
of India's notification No. 147/94-Cus) having qualified
at the 54th National Shooting Competition Championship held
at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Ranges, New Delhi, during January
2011. Earlier, I obtained All India 5th Rank at All India
GV Mavalankar Shooting Championships held at Guwahati in
November 2010.

Hobbyist
Things
that cut, shoot or fly have always been of delight. Very
fond of making robotic gadgets and stuff that runs on non-conventional
energy sources. Photography, fishing, adventure sports and
instrumental music are the other things that hold my interest.

and immoral & unethical activities and practices. RTI
has become an important tool and weapon to aid in this arena.
As Hony. General Secretary of ISHWAR-NGO, I work
to educate street children and contribute my bit in ‘giving
back’ to the society – particularly the under-privileged,
differently-abled and the less fortunate sections.

by Sh. R. Venkataraman, then Hon’ble President of India,
at the Mughal Gardens of Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi in
1988, recommended by the National Headquarters of Bharat
Scouts & Guides.
Red &
White Bravery Award in 1990, in recognition of Exceptional
Courage.
Honoured for
Social, Cultural & Relief Work by the Indian
Social Workers Association. The certificate was presented
by Sh. Dharmavir, then Dy. Minister for Labour in 1982,
at a young age of only 15 years.
Participated
in the 1991 Gulf War by being called upon to establish
Wireless Communication links with Iraq, at the Indian Red
Cross HQ, in New Delhi.
Commendation
Roll (the highest certificate of honour in Delhi Police)
with Cash Reward from the Commissioner of Delhi Police,
Mr. Ved Marwah, IPS, for exemplary hard work done to save
the life of a police constable involved in a fatal road
accident.
Appointed as
Special Police Officer and Traffic Warden
by the Commissioner of Police, Delhi in 1986; thereby becoming
the youngest police officer at an age of only 19
years, under Section 18 of the Delhi Police Act, conferring
all powers, privileges and immunities of a police officer.
